Ordinarily Available Provision Guidance
Ordinarily Available Provision is a phrase, first used in 2023 by the DfE to describe the provision that a local authority expects to be made available for children and young people with SEND in early years settings, mainstream schools, and colleges. The refreshed guidance gives examples of adaptations and reasonable adjustments that are part and parcel of everyday high-quality inclusive mainstream provision. Rollout sessions are being held in the Autumn term 2025 by Herts for Learning. They will take the form of a 2-hour event designed for SENCOs and school leaders and will introduce the key principles and practical strategies that support inclusive practice in every mainstream classroom. Sessions are fully funded for all Hertfordshire schools.
